01 About IWI

We treat resilience like the professional skill it is.

The Integrated Wellness Institute was founded by two doctorate-level clinicians with one shared conviction: resilience is a capability, not a trait. Like any capability, it can be trained, practiced, and reinforced.

That conviction shapes everything we build. Our programs are grounded in evidence-based practices, designed for the operational realities of first responders, and engineered for adoption — not just delivery. We pair every course with a companion book so the work continues long after the training room.

Our mission: equip the people who carry the weight of public safety, public health, and public service with tools that hold when the work demands the most of them.

Evidence-Based Practices

Curriculum built on clinical research and refined through years of direct practice with first responders and high-demand professionals.

Operationally realistic

Designed for shift schedules, chronic stress, and the people who don't have the luxury of pausing to recover. No theory you can't use Monday.

Built to scale

Turnkey programs that roll out enterprise-wide without consuming your training infrastructure or operational capacity.

02 Our Programs

Two flagship programs.
One framework.

Both programs are anchored in our PEACE Resilience Model — applied to two distinct organizational needs: workforce-wide resilience, and peer support team effectiveness.

03 The Methodology

The PEACE Resilience Model.

A resilience model built specifically for first responders — and uniquely aligned with trauma treatment. Five evidence-based components build resilience as a daily, repeatable practice, refined through years of working directly with those who operate under chronic stress and traumatic exposure. Several distinct elements set the PEACE Model apart from conventional resilience training.

01 P

Psychoeducation on Trauma

Identify the impact of trauma on the mind and body — and why understanding the mechanism is the first step toward managing it.

02 E

Expand Awareness

Build emotional and environmental awareness so personnel can read their own state — and the situation — before either escalates.

03 A

Activate Healthy Habits

Practical routines that meet needs across every level of wellbeing: physical, cognitive, emotional, and relational.

04 C

Coping with Acute Stress

Evidence-based techniques personnel can use in the moment, on scene, on shift — not just in a quiet room afterward.

05 E

Establish a Plan

An individualized plan personnel actually return to — for building resilience and maintaining wellbeing through a long career.

04 Why It Matters
